Running alongside the FAST / PPME Exhibition will be a series of free technical seminars. They will be led by the UK’s leading fastening and bonding experts providing experienced application problem solving expertise.

Alcoa Fastening Systems & Rings will be leading a seminar on overcoming weaknesses with traditional fastening methods within civil engineering.

Alcoa offers a fastening product that is vibration resistant, has constant clamp for long periods, has superior fatigue performance and eliminate potential corrosion issues. The product, known as the Huck BobTail Lockbolt, would provide some relief to the increased costs for fastened joints in civil engineering due to the need for high service and maintenance.

Dr.-Ing. Hans-Albert Städler, Customer Engineering Director Europe at Alcoa, will look more closely at typical lockbolt application within civil engineering during the seminar, and compare it’s functionality with lockbolts type BobTail.
